In this novel Tere Liye made Eliana's characters is a couragerus and an integrity person. She is the first children in their family. She have two brothers and one sistes. Pukat, Burlian and the last Amelia. They're not poor but simple family. They live in peace even they have not much money. Their father, Syahidin, always teach them to be honest, fair, not steal, and integrity. They must have a good attitude and also knowledge. I adore him, Mr. Syahidin. He advice his children when they do
something wrong. He always have time to play with his kid and teach them morality. He laugh, makes some joke with the kids and also punish them when they guilty. He is really a good father.
Okay, back to Eliana. Her bold and sharp charachters makes her friends scared. She is uneasy person, just like her mother. But she is have a kind-heart too. She is smart, dilligent, and not easy to make her cry. That's why her brothers and sister curious and impatient to wait someone that can make Eliana crying. And that moment comes, moment when Eliana crying. Who is that guy whom succeed makes Eliana crying? That guy is Marhotap. Marhotap is a guy whom Eliana hate in her whole life. She doesn't like him because he's annoying, lazy, and seldom to bath. His look is always terrible with old-uniform and his chaos hair.
But how this guy makes Eliana cry?
Marhotap's family is a stone-craftsman. One day, Marhotap brought a beautiful stone to school. Everyone courius and want to look it closer. He show off the stone to all of his fans. But after break, the stone is gone. And they decide to check everyone bags in that class. Unfortunately, the stone found in Eliana's bag. Its exactly resemble with Marhotap's stone. And suddenly Marhotap shout loudly that ELiana is a thief. Eliana got angry. He defend herself and said that the stone is hers. Her father got it from Marhotap's father. But Marhotap don't believe it and still said Eliana is a thief. Shortly, their fathers come and fix the misunderstanding. Marhotap applogize to Eliana. But Eliana refuse then leave him and crying. After that incident, they never talking and hate each other more than before.
Are they being enemies forever? Of course not. And how they can forgive each other? Here we go.
One day, there are trucks that want to dig their sands in their villages. They hate people behind this action and try to fail their activities. They have a plan to deflated the truck's tire. But they are unlucky. The security saw and try to chased them. They run immediately while the security behind.
The security are so close to them and suddenly Marhotap came to saved their live. He gave them a bamboo for help them breath in the river before they jump to it. They are hid in the river and breath from the bamboo. The security did't find them and leaved. After that incident, Eliana feel guilty.
She really thankful for waht he did and apologized to Marhotap. So did Marhotap. He apologized too and forgive each other.
I'm not finish to read this book yet. So, I can't tell what is the conclusion, the positive and negative thing. I promise I'll post it as soon as possible.
